Bobby S. Korn, M.D., Ph.D., F.A.C.S is an Associate Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology in the Department of Ophthalmology, UCSD. Dr. Korn completed his undergraduate degree at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He then attended the medical scientist-training program (M.D./Ph.D.) program at the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical School. He completed his ophthalmology residency, serving as the Chief Resident and completed fellowship training in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at UCSD. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and fellow of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Korn has a wide range of clinical interests that span oculoplastic conditions including cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelid and face, management of thyroid eye disease, eyelid and orbital tumors and disorders of the lacrimal outflow system.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Korn is an active researcher and has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and has recently co-authored the book, Video Atlas of Oculofacial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Korn has been invited to teach national and international lectures and courses. He was the recipient of the Outstanding Teaching Awards from medical students and residents, the ASOPRS Research award and the Marvin Quickert award. Dr. Korn has been named as a Top Physician by US News and World Report and Castle Connelly, Ltd. In his free time, he is a volunteer surgeon locally and internationally.
